College Park Real Estate

College Park may be one of the best cities in Georgia for residents who are constantly on the move. The area is just mere minutes from the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and the City of Atlanta. It's easy access to Interstates I-85 and I-285 and the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) make traveling around the city effortless. Whether catching a flight or simply headed to a meeting downtown, College Park residents will have no problem getting to their destination.

Originating from a land grant awarded in 1846, College Park has the fourth largest urban historic district in Georgia with 867 structures on the Historic Register. The city's historical collection consists of homes, monuments, businesses, schools, churches, parks, a cemetery, government building and railway station. The city is anchored by its historic Main Street business district.

While evidence of the city's history is plentiful, there are also a number of signs of development and growth. The new Georgia International Convention Center is a state-of-the-art facility owned and operated by the City of College Park, and is the second largest exhibit and meeting space in the state. Shopping and dining are abundant along Old National Highway which runs through the city. The nearby newly constructed Camp Creek Marketplace is another option available to area residents.

Students in College Park will attend schools in the Fulton County School System. The system is the fourth largest in the state and is dedicated to excellence. College Park schools are among those recognized as Georgia Schools of Excellence. Additionally, the city also boasts being home to the largest private school in the United States, Woodward Academy, and competitive colleges and universities are just a short commute away.

Potential homebuyers will discover everything from luxurious custom estates, to classic traditional homes in College Park. The neighborhoods are beautiful with well manicured lawns and lots of trees. You'll find established homes from the low $100s and must-see new construction from the $160s.
