Forest Park Real Estate

Forest Park is located in Clayton County just nine miles south of the City of Atlanta. Its convenience to both Interstate 75 and Interstate 285 as well as its proximity to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport make getting in and out of the city a breeze for its nearly 22,000 residents.

Residents will enjoy shopping at Southlake Mall and at the Atlanta State Farmers Market, also known as the Georgia State Farmers Market. Farmers bring loads of fresh produce daily to be sold at this facility that houses acres of vendors. Neighboring towns offer tons of additional shopping, dining and entertainment options.

Forest Park's Parks and Recreation facilities offer lots of exciting activities for families in the area and residents of all ages. Kids and adults alike can take advantage of tennis and volleyball courts, picnic pavilions, pools, playgrounds, baseball fields and even miniature golf. Nearby Reynolds Nature Preserve offers hiking, fishing and wildlife watching and Jesters Creek Trail, constructed by the Clayton County Greenways Council, is the first step in a comprehensive plan to provide biking and walking trails across the county. Families will enjoy water sports at nearby Lake Spivey and Lake Jodeco.

Forest Park students will attend schools in the Clayton County Public Schools. There are five elementary schools, two junior high schools and one senior high school located within Forest Park city limits. Students will be challenged academically and participate in a wide variety of extracurricular activities. The district is one of few to have full-time music and art specialists at every school. Competitive private schools are also convenient to the area and several colleges and universities are just a short drive away. Clayton State University, a unit of the University System of Georgia, is located within Clayton County and offers bachelor and master degree programs and enrolls 6,000 students.

Forest Park is one of the most affordable suburbs just outside of Atlanta. Homes in established areas start below the $100s. If you're a first time homebuyer or an investor looking for remarkable deals, a home in Forest Park could be the perfect choice for you.
