Norcross Real Estate

Norcross is located in Gwinnett County and is the only city in the county to have a district listed in the U.S. Register of Historic Places. The city is named for Jonathan Norcross who was the fourth mayor of the city of Atlanta and serves as the headquarters for several major companies. The city is just 20 miles northeast of Atlanta and is accessible by Interstate 285 and Interstate 85. Gwinnett County Transit also runs through Norcross offering transportation alternatives to its 10,000 residents constantly on the go.

Residents will find lots to do in revitalized downtown Norcross. A wide variety of restaurants, shops, galleries and other services allow residents access to whatever they want and need within their charming community. Just a short drive away are some of Georgia's largest malls and most popular attractions.

It's not uncommon to see your neighbors jogging or walking through the city. All sections of the city are connected to the downtown area by a network of sidewalks, many of which connect to area parks. Residents will enjoy living amongst ample greenspace with the amenities of the bustling city nearby. Norcross hosts several events for families in the area to enjoy throughout the year including the Norcross Fall Festival and the Holiday Tour of Homes. Additionally, there are several active organizations in the area to join including the Norcross Women's Club, Norcross Garden Club and various sports leagues for youth.

Students in the area will attend Gwinnett County Schools. Gwinnett County schools have received numerous awards for excellence. Norcross High School recently won its first state basketball championship and appeared on national television. The area is also convenient to competitive private schools and notable colleges and universities are also nearby.

From sprawling estates to charming ranch homes, Norcross has something for every family interested in making the area their home. Large wooded lots, spacious floor plans and lake views are just a few of the bonuses that the area offers. While gated luxury communities in the area are valued at the $1 million price point, prospective buyers will be pleased at great deals on charming homes starting in the low $100s.
