Powder Springs is located in Cobb County and is home to nearly 15,000 residents. The city gets its name from the seven springs founding within the city limit. Powder Springs has something for residents of all ages to enjoy. Families will enjoy learning about the area's history at the Seven Springs Museum in downtown Powder Springs. Seniors can take advantage of regular activities including classes, counseling and field trips offered at the Coach George E. Ford Center.

While prospective homebuyers will find Powder Springs to already be a great place to call home, the city is embarking on a number of improvements to make life even better for residents. A city-wide trail system is being developed to connect neighborhoods, parks, commercial and employment centers, public facilities, the historic downtown area and as well as the regional Silver Comet Trail. The city's prime Cobb County location offers an abundance of shopping options as the area is home to several shopping malls and hundreds of boutiques.

Public education in Powder Springs is provided by Cobb County Public Schools. Schools in the district are some of the most impressive in the state. Many of the schools within the county have been designated as Schools of Excellence. Students will find the curriculum challenging and the teachers nurturing and supportive. Powder Springs is also convenient to several competitive private schools and many notable colleges and universities are nearby.
