Southwest Atlanta is one of the oldest communities in Fulton County and is located within 15 minutes of downtown Atlanta and just a short drive away from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Portions of the area are within Atlanta city limits while a small portion is located in unincorporated Fulton County. Several of the subdivisions that were previously unincorporated have been annexed, a trend that will most likely continue.
